This museum is full of Native American history. It is a 3 minute car ride from Otter Creek campground. The museum was once a mansion built along the Susquehanna river and sits on a beautiful walkable piece of land. Each room has artifacts and descriptions of different Indian tribes; the artifacts show what people ate, how they hunted, what clothing they wore, etc. In addition to the museum there is a waterfall that is only a short hike through the woods.
We went to the Pow Wow and had a wonderful experience. The vendors were great but wished there were more. Great cultural education and the museum was really interesting.
This place is worth more then one visit. Over and over it's always interesting.
Very beautiful property lots of history !! Really enjoyed all three floors of museum
This is a hidden gem. Very cool place, with some very knowledgeable people regarding the local American Native American history. I really enjoyed one of their recent presentations, excellent. Beautiful location on the Susquehanna River.
